Jaysh al-Islam to join peace Syria talks

Mohammed Alloush, a representative of Jaysh al-Islam will soon arrive in Geneva to join the negotiating process, TASS reported a representative of the Syrian opposition as saying on Sunday.

"He will arrive soon," Omar Kush said. "And he will take part in the talks."

Sources say Alloush may arrive in Switzerland in the coming night or by Monday evening.

Riyad Hijab to arrive in Geneva, but Asaad al-Zoubi to remain as opposition delegation leader, TASS added.

According to a source close to the opposition delegation, Hijab does not plan to join talks at the United Nations Geneva office but "will orchestrate the process." The source said George Sabra, a prominent Syrian opposition figure, would assist al-Zoubi.
