Jaysh al-Islam leader: Assad and his allies not serious about peace

The new Jaysh al-Islam leader, Esam Buwaidani, criticized the international community and said that intensifying military attacks by Assad and his allies proves that they are not serious about finding a solution to end the fighting in Syria.

These forces, Buwaidani adds, are killing more civilians by imposing more sieges on Syrian cities.

Had the international community been serious and wanted to reach a peaceful solution in Syria, it would have obliged Russia and Iran to stop their aggression and it could have asked them to go out of Syria, he adds.

Buwaidani also says that Assad regime would have collapsed had Russia not interfered.
