Rayhana al-Zein whose photo has been widely distributed on social media talked to Orient, describing the moments that followed Russian airstrike on Idlib last Wednesday.
Rayhana is an IDP from Ghouta in Damascus countryside whose hair turned gray after severe shelling.
“We went downstairs after the airstrike,” Rayhana said. “The cupboard and window were broken,” she added.
The shelling destroyed Rayhana’s house where she lives with her relatives.
“While my mother carried me, I saw blood on the ground and a dead man wrapped in a green blanket,” she concluded.
On Wednesday, Russian airstrikes, and Assad artillery shells and rockets targeted civilian homes in Idlib, killing 17 civilians, including seven children and three women and injuring 50 others, including women and children.
