ISIS launched Friday an offensive against positions of the Syrian opposition group of Jaysh al-Islam, in a neighborhood south of the capital city of Damascus.
Orient news correspondent said that ISIS terrorists started the attack by remote-controlled car-bomb followed by incursion led to ISIS taking control of 3 buildings in al-Zein neighborhood close to ISIS stronghold in Yalda town, south of Damascus.
Two fighters of Jaysh Al-Islam were killed and other were wounded while thwarting the attack, as many ISIS terrorists were killed and wounded too, our correspondent reported.
In parallel, ISIS targeted residential locations in the neighborhood with several mortar shells, and its snipers targeted pedestrians, yet no casualties have been reported.
Clashes were still going on between the two sides - till the time of writing the report - in attempt by Jaysh al-Islam to regain control of its lost positions.
