Whenever a crime is committed the first thing to inquire about is: who are the beneficiaries?
The first to benefit from such a crime is Assad as an explosion in an Assad controlled area will inflame sectarian conflict. This will show the world that his suggested to be incubator is in danger; Assad will be the only hero who can protect them following this bloody action. Assad believes that people in the crime scene will stick to him as the only savior.
With this massacre Assad benefits as he shows the world that terrorism is increasing in Syria and it is actually targeting him and his incubator. This will justify his war and makes his invitation to Russia and other forces legitimate.
This leads us to the second beneficiary: Mr. Putin who takes advantage of all the above in addition to fostering the idea of ‘useful Syria’ which he proposed some time ago.
If ISIS has perpetrated the massacre, Putin and Assad are asked here about the reasons behind the very existence of ISIS in Syria. Why did not ISIS exist before Syrians started their uprising? Where was it? How come it appeared only when Assad realized that he was certain to lose the battle before Syrians? Co-incidents happen but cannot be in such a well-organized plan; this makes ISIS the third beneficiary as it follows Putin and Assad orders while at the same time such a crime attracts more members to join it.
These are the main beneficiaries. And the only loser is the Syrian people. It is the one which deserves paying condolences to; instead Putin paid condolences to the killer. For al-Watan when Putin talks to Assad, the job is done because for it, Assad is Syria and Syria is Assad – an enforcement of this demeaning principle.
This is an unending game, and it is cheap in nature. It is the Syrian blood they are playing with. Putin is paying condolences to the wrong party; it is to the killer, his like, and this probably makes it normal.
