Five civilians were killed on Thursday, while seven others were wounded in Daraa and its countryside, after Assad terrorists shelling, activists said.
Residential areas in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood and a popular market were targeted with artillery shells by Assad terrorists.
Also, Russian and Assad jet fighters conducted airstrikes on al-Hrak and Basr al-Harir cities, and on al-Soura town in Daraa countryside, leading to the injury of a number of civilians, according to activists.
The city of Da’el and the village of Jadal also witnessed heavy artillery shelling by Assad terrorists.
This bombardment comes as an anticipated meeting is due to take place in Ankara today. The meeting is supposed to include Russia, Turkey and representative from opposition fighters’ factions to discuss a nationwide ceasefire.
