Euphrates Shield “neutralizes” 46 ISIS terrorists in northern Syria
Free Syrian Army (FSA) factions backed by the Turkish Army “neutralized” 46 ISIS terrorists on Friday in northern Syria as part of Operation Euphrates Shield, Anadolu Agency reported citing the Turkish military.

Turkish military sources usually use the word “neutralized” to indicate that the target was either killed or captured.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has recently said that the operation to capture the city of al-Bab would be finished soon. He added that the operation liberated more than 2,000 kilometers from ISIS control in northern Syria.

On 24 August, Turkey-backed FSA factions started Operation Euphrates Shield in northern Syria and have since liberated the cities of Jarablus and al-Raei in addition to dozens of villages in Aleppo countryside. FSA fighters have been advancing towards al-Bab and are now on the outskirts of the city.
