Opposition repels Assad attacks northeast of Damascus
Opposition fighters were able on Saturday to repel Assad terrorists’ attack as the latter attempted to advance towards Barzeh orchards in the northeastern neighborhoods of Damascus.

Eight Assad terrorists were killed by opposition fighters on Barzeh orchards front, while an Assad T72 tank was destroyed and another was permanently damaged, Orient News correspondents said.

Assad terrorists tried to advance under heavy fire coverage, but opposition fighters failed the attack.

In addition, opposition fighters destroyed an Assad Shilka vehicle and killed a number of Assad terrorists, according postings on social media platforms by Ahrar al-Sham, a main opposition fighting group.

On Friday, opposition fighters destroyed two Assad tanks on Barzeh orchards front as well.

In Damascus countryside, opposition fighters foiled an infiltration attempt by Assad terrorists to al-Reihan town in Damascus eastern countryside, according to activists.

Assad terrorists also pounded the Erbin city with artillery shells, while the towns of Beit Nayem and Tel Firzat, and Jissrin witnessed artillery shelling, rocket attacks and heavy machine-gun fire.

More, a civilian was killed and his brother was injured after they were targeted in Madaya town, west of Damascus, by a Hezbollah sniper.

Assad terrorists continue their attacks on opposition-held areas despite the declared ceasefire which brokered by Turkey and Russia and declared late December, 2016.
