Dozens killed by explosions in Syria’s Sweida
Dozens of people were killed or injured on Wednesday (July 25) after suicide attacks took place in the city of Sweida in southern Syria, Assad TV said.

Sweida 24 Facebook page said that three explosions were heard followed by heavy shooting from an unidentified location, adding that a number of armed men threw bombs in a main way and a subway of Sweida city.

50 people have been killed so far, according to Orient News sources.

Local Facebook pages said that clashes took place in civilian neighbourhoods where grenades and rockets were used by the armed men before they withdrew after one of them was killed.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

For more than a week now, Assad regime militias backed by their allied Russian warplanes have been on an offensive against an ISIS-linked group in Quneitra and Daraa countryside.
