Assad militia’s defence minister intercepted in Sweida countryside
A group of assailants fired gunshots Tuesday (August 21) near the convoy of the Assad regime’s defence minister, Ali Ayyoub, in Sweida countryside, local sources said.

Sweida 24 Facebook page said that the incident was a kind of protest against the Assad hospitals’ medical negligence in Sweida and that no one was injured.

"There were five dead bodies from the village of Tarba in Sweida countryside. They were not kept in the morgue after IEDs planted by ISIS-affiliated groups killed them," the page said.

Eyewitnesses said the assailants chanted angry slogans at the defense minister’s convoy. No one of the Assad militiamen responded.

It is worth to remind that ISIS terrorists killed at least 240 people in a series of attacks in the Druze-dominated southern city of Sweida in Syria on Wednesday (July 25).

Most of the Druze Syrians did not join the Syrian revolution against the Assad regime.

A large number of the Druze Syrians rejected to join the regime’s military service outside their governorate.
