Eight killed as car bomb rips through Syria’s Afrin

An explosion ripped through Aleppo countryside on Monday (February 10) killing and injuring civilians, Orient correspondent said.

A car bomb exploded in Rajo street in in Afrin city, killing eight civilians and injuring seven others, Turkish Defense Ministry and local sources said.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.

Earlier this month, YPG rockets targeted al-Itihad school in Afrin city in Aleppo countryside, killing Yasin Hemrawi, a displaced student from Damascus countryside, and injuring 12 others.

Several explosions have blasted the densely populated opposition-held areas in northern Syria, including areas controlled by the Turkey-backed opposition factions.
