Hundreds of protesters stormed the governorate directorate in Sweida on Thursday to demand the execution of those who killed a university student few days ago.
Sources confirmed the escalation of tension in Sweida following a sit-in of the family of the killed student Rayan Abu Fakhr who was found dead after being stabbed near Ein Azzaman restaurant in the governorate.
Sweida 24 page said that protestors stormed the governorate directorate after the mayor’s efforts and those of Sheikhs failed in achieving any conciliation.
Sweida has witnessed frequent incidents of abduction and killing recently.
The deterioration of the security situation in Sweida has happened because of wide spread of arms, poverty and corruption, all that was planned and implemented by the Assad regime.
Zaman al-Wasl reported that there is a prevailing feeling among inhabitants in Sweida that the regime would sooner or later succeed in inciting an internal conflict among people of the same city with the same religious and social background after it managed to arm a group of mean and criminals under claims of fighting terrorism, but they targeted their own people and practised intimidation, looting and killing beside breaching taboo.
