“The aid convoy and the warehouse were targeted with more than 25 missiles and barrel bombs,” an activist who spoke on condition of anonymity said.
Ibrahim al-Khatib, Orient News correspondent said: “The aid convoy was waiting to discharge humanitarian aid, sent by the UN, in Orem al-Kubra SARC center to be then distributed to those in need when it was targeted by Assad or Russian warplanes.”
The targeting came few hours after Assad regime’s Ministry of Defense announced the end of the US-Russian brokered ceasefire in a statement on its website.
In a similar context, Assad or Russian warplanes also targeted a number of towns in Aleppo western countryside, including Kafar Naha, Qabtan al-Jabal and Howar, with vacuum missiles and heavy machine guns.
The aerial attacks claimed the lives of 15 civilians in Howar town and injured a number of others, according to Orient News correspondent.
Also, 4 civilians were killed in Janat al-Salama village in Aleppo eastern countryside as a result of Assad or Russian airstrikes on the village.
The towns of Hreitan, Anadan, Kafar Hamra and al-Lairamoun in Aleppo northern countryside, were targeted as well.
It is worthy to remind that the ceasefire, which was brokered by the US and Russia came into effect on Monday September 12. The ceasefire was violated many times by Assad regime and Russian warplanes, killing and injuring many civilians across Syria.
