Hussam al-Shafa’i, Fatth al-Sham’s spokesperson said that the Syrian revolution and toppling Assad regime by force are a must adding that the world will never turn attention towards the group unless it has military gains on the ground.
These statements came in response on the ceasefire announced in Aleppo by the Russian defence ministry which was supposed to come into effect on Tuesday.
“The Russian suggestion concerning a temporary ceasefire in Aleppo aiming at expelling Fatth al-Sham fighters from the city is not a new strategy, but it is a continuation of the UN’s practices in Darayya and Homs,” al-Shafa’i said in an exclusive talk to Orient Net.
“The US-Russian agreements were reached and Lausanne meeting was held without even consulting Syrians, the owners of the ground,” al-Shafa’i said not recognizing what came of decisions in the agreements and the meetings and emphasizing that this world only pays attention to the strong.
Russia has obliged the international community to accept the status quo, which it imposed; no halt of bombardment on civilians, no speaking about Assad’s fate. Russia also vetoed the United Nations Security Council’s resolutions against Assad regime. The world left the butcher, Assad regime, and has went to the victim, the Syrian people, asking them to surrender, al-Shafa’i said confirming that Fatth al-Sham will never let the Syrians down and will never sell the blood of almost one million Syrians killed or disappeared by Assad terrorists.
Russian and Assad terrorists announced Monday they would pause air attacks on the Syrian city of Aleppo for eight hours starting from Thursday so that civilians and opposition fighters can leave the city.
