An explosion took place Thursday in Izmir province, west of Turkey, near the city’s main courthouse, Turkish media reported.
Ambulances rushed to the scene, and police cordoned the explosion site. At first no casualties were reported, but an hour or so after the incident, Turkish authorities said that a police officer and a court officer were killed and that at least 10 people were injured.
Turkish police said that it neutralized two of the terrorist attackers and is looking for the third.
