Ahrar al-Sham launches new offensive in Hama countryside
A number of opposition fighting factions launched on Friday a new offensive in Hama northwestern countryside, coinciding with the ongoing offensives in Hama northern countryside which have seen great gains on the ground.

Ahrar al-Sham, al-Sham Legion, Jaysh al-Nasr, Jaysh al-Nukhba, and Ajnad al-Sham opposition fighting groups said they launched on Friday a new offensive under the name of Sada al-Sham or “The Echo of Damascus,” according to Ahrar al-Sham spokesperson Omar Khattab.

On his Twitter account, Khattab said that Ahrar al-Sham along with a number of opposition factions, launched an offensive in Hama countryside.

Field sources told Orient Net that the participating factions did not specify the targeted areas precisely, but said the areas are northwestern countryside of Hama.

Opposition fighters started preliminary shelling on the targeted areas, the sources added.

During the Free Syrian Army fighters along with Tahrir al-Sham fighters have achieved significant advances in Hama northern countryside as part of two offensives launched by each. During the past couple of days, opposition fighters liberated more than 25 towns and villages from Assad terrorists and their supporting foreign militias as part of an offensive launched last Tuesday.
