Al-Rahman Corps affiliated with the Free Syrian Army (FSA) liberated on Friday (June 23) a number of points on Ein Tarma in Damascus’ eastern Ghouta.
The media office of al-Rahman Corps confirmed that its fighters controlled new points in Ein Tarma valley after a counterattack. It also said that Assad terrorists brought new reinforcement to the area.
Orient News correspondent Hadi al-Munajed said that fighters of al-Sham Corps regrouped today morning and carried out a surprise attack on Assad terrorists. They were able to restore control over most of the points recently lost to Assad terrorists and Iran-backed militias in Ein Tarma valley.
Al-Munajed added that 8 Assad terrorists were killed in the attack, pointing out that clashes were still underway, amid artillery and mortar shelling and aerial bombardment by Assad terrorists.
These developments come hours after Assad terrorists targeted the nearby Jobar neighborhood, east of Damascus, with chlorine gas, which led to suffocation cases among civilians.
