Fourth batch of IDPs from Daraa arrives to Qalaat al-Madiq
The Fourth batch of Forcibly displaced persons that left Daraa on Friday arrived early on Saturday (July 28) at the zero point in Qalaat al-Madiq in Hama countryside.

The batch includes more than 452 displaced person of opposition fighters and their families in ten buses, Orient correspondent said.

The total number of the seven batches of forcibly displaced people who left Daraa and Quneitra to northern Syria is around 10,000 people according to Response Coordination Group statistics.

The first batch of IDPs from Quneitra and Daraa arrived to Hama countryside on Saturday (July 21) after striking a displacement deal between locals and the Russians.

On June 16, 2018, the Assad-Russian military alliance opened an offensive in Daraa and Quneitra, one of the last opposition-held areas in Syria.

Qalaat al-Madiq in Hama countryside is where IDPs, forced to leave their homes in different opposition-held areas, reach halfway to northern Syria. They stop to rest and change buses in order to continue to their destination which is usually northern Syria.
