Civil defence volunteers renovate garden in Idlib’s Jisr al-Sheghoor
Syrian civil defence volunteers in Idlib’s Jisr al-Sheghoor have reopened the garden of al-Salam. This garden was destroyed by the Assad regime’s and Russia’s airstrikes, Orient News correspondent said and added that children and their relatives were celebrating Eid al-Adha again in the new garden.

“The garden was significantly damaged by the Assad shelling and Russian airstrikes. We the civil defence teams have renovated it. It took us 15 days to complete the job, including the fountain in the middle of the garden. We sowed trees, painted the walls and ploughed the earth,” a civil defence volunteer said.

“In the past, this garden was abandoned. We only played in the old swing. But now and thanks to the civil defence volunteers, the garden has become perfect,” one of the Eid -Al-Adha-celebrating children said.

Idlib is the largest part of Syria controlled by opposition with a population swollen by Syrians who were displaced by the Assad regime and its militias’ advances in other parts of the country.
