Many opposition fighters were killed on Thursday (Nov. 8) in Hama countryside as they thwarted Assad militiamen infiltration attempts in those areas. On Tuesday, an Assad brigadier and eight of his militiamen were killed by shelling carried out by the opposition fighters in Joreen camp in Hama northern countryside. The opposition fighters said that the shelling came as a response to the Assad militiamen’s attacks which killed civilians in Idlib and Hama countryside. Hama countryside is within the de-escalation zones reached in Syria by the three guarantor states; Russia, Turkey and Iran.
