Syrians' status quo in Daraa under Assad control

Locals in Daraa watch Assad reinforcements reaching their areas in grief, according to reports. Assad militias are setting up checkpoints and forcibly drive the young men to the military conscription. The Assad sectarian militias have confiscated all NGOs buildings and tracked their volunteers. People in Daraa have suddenly recognized that they are deprived of their aid supplies that they used to receive in the last  years. The Assad regime’s Red Crescent is incapable of providing the basic needs for women and children in Daraa.

Dozens of families have been robbed and their houses have been looted by the Assad militias on charges of belonging to the terrorists organizations. Female relatives of the opposition fighters bear the brunt of the new status quo. They can’t confide that they are sisters of wives of opposition fighters. Assad militates are also storming houses searching for NGOs workers, the latter are moving incognito to avoid Assad detention or serving in its military for a period they do not know when it ends.
