Syrian opposition fighters ready to back Turkish operation
Syrian opposition fighters are ready to join a Turkish military operation in northeast Syria, but no date has been set for the operation, a spokesman for the National Army told Orient on Thursday (Dec. 13).

The spokesman for the National Army said on Thursday that there was no set date for the operation, which will start from both Syrian and Turkish territory.

“The battle will be launched simultaneously from several fronts, including Manbij, Tel Abyad and Ras al-Ain,” Major Youssef Hamoud added.

"We hope to control more than 150 military points, including strategic villages and cities in the east of the Euphrates." He added.

Turkish army units removed some of the border points with Syria, especially of Ras al-Ain in al-Hasaka countryside, Tel Abyad, in Raqqa northern countryside, near the Turkish border, and near Manbij city in Aleppo eastern countryside.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had announced earlier on Wednesday that Turkey will start a military operation east of the Euphrates river in northern Syria in a "few days."
