US led-coalition commits massacres in Deir-ez-Zor countryside

US-led coalition airstrikes and helicopters attacked Deir-ez-Zor countryside on Friday (Jan. 4), killing and inuring civilians, local social media reported.

Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militiamen, supported by a US-led coalition helicopter, raided a house in Al-Kishkiyah town in Deir-ez-Zor countryside, killing seven civilians, including  two women and a child and injuring a child, Euphrates Post reported.

On Thursday’s afternoon, the airstrikes targeted al-Shaafah town in Abu Kamal city near the Iraqi border, Killing  11 civilians, including 8 children from the same family, Euphrates Post added.

Hundreds of civilians have been killed and injured in airstrikes conducted by the US-led coalition in Deir-ez-Zor.

The US-led coalition is fighting the remnants of ISIS near the frontier between Syria and Iraq. With air power and special forces on the ground, it backs the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a Kurdish-led alliance of militias.
