The Assad regime’s militias renewed shelling on the demilitarized zone (DMZ) of Idlib countryside on Monday (Feb. 18), killing and injuring civilians, Orient correspondent said.

Assad regime’s rockets shelled on Monday morning civilian homes in Maarat al-Numaan city in Idlib countryside, injuring eight civilians, including women and children and causing substantial material damage, Orient correspondent added.

Meanwhile, Assad regime’s artillery and rockets shelled civilian homes in Aldier Alsharki village in Idlib countryside, killing a civilian and causing substantial material damage.

Assad regime’s artillery and rockets shelled also Khan Sheikhoun town in Idlib countryside, injuring a civilian and causing substantial material damage.

Assad shelling on Idlib countryside has killed and injured dozens of civilians, including women and children during the last five days.

People in Khan Sheikhoun are appealing to the guarantor Turkish state to immediately halt the Assad regime's attacks.

In April 2018, Assad regime targeted Khan Sheikhoun with toxic sarin, killing at least 100 civilians, mostly women and children.

A de-escalation zone deal on Idlib was reached by the Russian and the Turkish presidents last September to halt the Assad regime and its allies’ attacks on the northern Syrian city and its countryside.
