Assad regime reveals profits made by Iranian visitors in 2018

Assad regime's media has revealed the size of the profits made by the Iranian religious tourism in 2018 in the regime's areas where its militias are facilitating Shiite tourism to the religious sites in Syria.

The profits of "the Syrian Company for Tourism and Transport" rose by 15% in 2018 reaching about  358.8 million Syrian pounds, according to Fayez Mansour, the director of the company, the Assad-affiliated Watan paper reported.   

Mansour revealed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Assad regime's Ministry of Tourism on one side and the Hajj and Visit in Iran on the other side in a step to facilitate the resumption of the Iranian delegations after a pause, noting that delegations of Iraq, Pakistan, Bahrain and other countries did not stop in the past years, 

That the revenues of religious tourism estimated in 2018 at about 442.7 million pounds, according to Mansour.
