Civilian causalities as Assad-Russian warplanes shell Idlib
Russian warplanes and Assad militiamen shelled on Friday (May 10) the demilitarized zone (DMZ) of Idlib countryside, killing and injuring civilians and causing severe damage, Orient correspondent said.

Russian and Assad warplanes and rockets bombed on Friday Khan Sheikhoun town in Idlib countryside, killing a man and a woman while they were fleeing from the town and injuring others and causing substantial material damage.

Earlier on Friday, Russian and Assad warplanes bombed civilian homes in Habit town in Idlib countryside, causing substantial material damage.

Yesterday, Russian and Assad warplanes bombed civilian homes in several villages and towns in Idlib countryside, killing and injuring civilians, including women and children.

During last two weeks, Assad and Russian bombardment killed more than 120 civilians, including 22 children and injured more than 320 others, including women and children. 

Idlib countryside is within the de-escalation zone reached by Russia and Turkey last September. Russian warplanes and Assad militiamen have killed hundreds of Syrians since the de-escalation deal reached.
