Pro-Assad media announce deaths of regime militiamen in Hama province

Pro-Assad social media pages have confirmed that dozens of the regime militiamen were killed in the last 48 hours during the battles in Hama northern countryside with the opposition factions.

Names and photos of Assad officers and soldiers who came from Tartus, Latakia and other coastal Syrian cities and towns were posted in the death announcements.

The opposition’s National Front for Liberation posted videos of what they said targeting Assad militiamen near Kafr Nabodeh, destroying BMP vehicles by TOW missiles.

All regime’s progress attempts were repelled in the last 24 hours, but to-and-fro battles are taking place, opposition military correspondents said on Sunday (May 26). 

Opposition fighters fully captured the city of Kafr Nabodeh in Hama northern countryside on Wednesday (May 22) after heavy clashes with the Assad militiamen and their allies.
