Policemen killed by shooters in Lebanon's Tripoli - NNA

Armed men fired at a patrol of Lebanon’s Internal Security Forces (ISF) in the northern city of Tripoli on Monday night, killing two ISF members, state news agency NNA said.

The security forces and the army chased down the attackers and encircled them, it said.

A security source also said two ISF members were killed.

I saw an armed man wearing a vest with a beard, he machine gunned the police car, killing them. My car was very near to the scene of the attack, an eyewitness in footage published on Twitter said.  

Tripoli is Lebanon's second largest city and seen in the past clashes between rival groups that support or oppose the Assad regime.
