A blast ripped through the centre of Raqqa city in the first hours of Friday (June 14), killing and injuring YPG female militiamen and civilians, a source said.
Two YPG-affiliated female fighters were killed and others injured in the blast near Mashhadani Hospital in the city of Raqqa, "Raqqa is being Slaughtered in Silence" Facebook Page reported.
US-backed PKK-affiliated militias claimed victory over ISIS in Raqqa in October, 2017 raising flags over the last footholds of the terrorist group.
The so-called Syria Democratic Forces (SDF) celebrated driving military vehicles through the city and raised a flag in the city’s stadium saying the fighting was over.
