A US-led coalition force and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) killed 15 civilians and injured others near al-Tahiki village in Deir ez-Zoor countryside, local media reported.
The 15 civilians were killed by an air landing carried out in the early hours of Tuesday (July 16) by the coalition fighters and SDF militiamen, Deir ez-Zoor 24 reported.
The operation aimed to arrest Hasan Ibrahim, an ISIS leader, special sources told Deir ez-Zoor 24.
In April, US-led coalition forces carried out two air landings in the same village and Daman village, killing 11 civilians.
US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on March 23 that they had liberated the village of Baghouz, the last area held by ISIS in Syria, marking the end of a self-styled caliphate.
