Assad-Russian warplanes kill 20 civilians in Idlib countryside

Russian-Assad warplanes bombed on Wednesday morning (July 24) the town of Khan Sheikhoun and Ariha in Idlib countryside, killing and injuring civilians, Orient News correspondent said.

At least 10 civilians were killed in Tabeesh, 5  in Ariha, 2 in Latmeen while three other civilians were killed in the town of Mhambel.

The fresh attacks came after a day which witnessed airstrikes on the town of Heish where one civilian was killed.

Idlib Media Centre said similar attacks were conducted on Tuesday in the town of Maaret al-Numan.

On Monday (July 22), at least 39 civilians were killed by Assad-Russian airstrikes that bombed a popular marketplace. The total death toll in Idlib countryside reached 51 civilians.

Idlib is controlled by the opposition fighters and anti-regime factions with a population swollen by the Syrians who were displaced by the Assad regime and its allies in other parts of the country.
