Opposition's NFL foils Assad incursion attempts in Idlib countryside
Allied opposition fighters in the National Front for Liberation (NFL) have thwarted Assad incursion attempts in Idlib countryside, killing and injuring Assad militiamen, the group said on its social media outlets.

NFL fighters thwarted on Friday (August 2) Assad incursion attempts at Msheirfeh and Ejaz battlefronts, killing and injuring Assad militiamen.

On Thursday, several Assad militiamen were killed in Hama northern countryside while they were attempting to progress towards opposition-controlled areas.

Assad regime militias targeted on Friday the demilitarized zone (DMZ) of Hama and Idlib countryside, injuring a civilian and causing material damage.

On Thursday, Assad warplanes bombed several villages and towns in Hama and Idlib countryside, killing four civilians, including two children and injuring 14.

Assad regime media claimed that a ceasefire would start on Thursday night if opposition forces fulfilled a Russian-Turkish deal which had tried last year to create a demilitarised buffer zone.

Assad-Russian warplanes have committed dozens of massacres in Idlib and Hama countryside since they launched their bombing campaign on the 30th of April, largely violating the de-escalation zone deal reached between Russia and Turkey last September.
