Civilian causalities as Assad militias shell Idlib, Hama countryside
Assad regime militias targeted on Sunday (August 4) the demilitarized zone (DMZ) of Idlib and Hama countryside, killing and injuring civilians and causing material damage, Orient correspondents reported.

Assad rockets targeted Bidama town in Idlib countryside, killing a woman and injuring six civilians, including a White Helmets volunteer and his family members.

In Hama countryside, Assad artillery shells targeted the farmlands in several villages and towns, including Kafr Zita, Morek, Zaka and al-Lataminah, injuring six civilians.

Assad regime media had claimed that a ceasefire would start on Thursday (August 1) night if opposition forces fulfilled a Russian-Turkish deal which tried last year to create a demilitarised buffer zone.

Assad-Russian warplanes have committed dozens of massacres in Idlib and Hama countryside since they launched their bombing campaign on the 30th of April, largely violating the de-escalation zone deal reached between Russia and Turkey last September.
