Assad warplanes drop nail-laden rockets on Syrian children in Idlib countryside
Assad warplanes targeted on Monday (August 12) the demilitarized zone (DMZ) in Idlib countryside, killing and injuring civilians, Orient correspondent said.

The warplanes dropped on Monday rockets filled with nails on Syrian children in Hish town in Idlib countryside.

The Assad regime has placed sharp spikes inside the C5 missiles which the Assad regime Air Force's L-39 Albatros fire on Syrian civilians in order to kill and injure as many people as possible, according to Orient correspondent.

A Syrian child was injured in his hand by these nails in Hish town.

Meanwhile, the warplanes targeted civilian homes in several villages and towns, killing a civilian and injuring 14 other civilians, including children.

Assad regime has used all kinds of internationally banned weapons such as cluster munitions, barrel bombs and chemical weapons against Syrian people.

A barrel bomb can refer to any large container packed with gasoline, nails and chunks of steel that is typically thrown out of a helicopter. These improvised explosive devices represent a cheap form of aerial warfare — but their rudimentary and unguided design means they can kill civilians through inaccuracy.

Describing the use of barrel bombs in Syria, the State Department Spokeswoman Victoria Nuland described barrel bombs in 2012 as "vicious things indiscriminately launched at targets without any concern about civilians."
