The bodies of those killed in an attack on a bus, near the holy city of Kerbala in Iraq, were taken to a morgue on Saturday morning (21 September).
The bus bomb killed at least 12 people and wounded several others on Friday (September 20), a statement from Iraqi security services said.
Police spokesmen said an explosive device planted on the bus detonated at a northern entrance to the city, setting fire to the vehicle.
No groups immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.
Such attacks in the mostly Shi'ite Muslim south of Iraq have been rare in recent years, particularly after the territorial defeat of ISIS in Iraq in 2017 and the routing of its al Qaeda predecessors.
