Car bomb blast kills 17 in Hasaka’s Ras al-Ein

A car bomb killed at least 17 people and wounded 20 others in on Tuesday (November 26) in Ras al-Ein city in Hasaka countryside, according to Turkish Defense Ministry.

The attack took place in the Tal Halaf village west of the city of Ras al-Ayn, the ministry said on its official Twitter account.

Several vehicles were reduced to charred shells by the blast at a village market, images from the scene showed.

The ministry blamed the attack on the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG).

"The PKK/YPG terror group continues its car bombings aimed at civilians. The child murderers this time detonated a car bomb in Tal Halaf village west of Ras al-Ayn, killing 17 people and wounding more than 20," the defence ministry said on Twitter.

This attack has been the latest in a series of attacks, which took place in Tal Abyad, Azaz and other towns in northern Syria.

Turkey launched Operation Peace Spring on (October the 9th) east of the Euphrates River in northern Syria to secure its borders by eliminating terrorist elements of PKK and its affiliates and to ensure the safe return of Syrian refugees.
