The U.S. Representative for New York (R) Lee Zeldin has said that a recent congressional trip to military bases in the Middle East left him with the impression that the US has “no plan at all” regarding both Syria and Libya, The Hill reported.
“I left the trip with more faith in the plan as it relates to Iraq, and I will say, unfortunately, as far as the situation in places like Syria and Libya, there really is no plan at all,” he told John Catsimatidis on “The Cats Roundtable” on New York’s AM-970 today.
Zeldin, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and an Iraq War veteran, led a bipartisan Congressional delegation to Iraq, Jordan and Kuwait over Christmas.
